ACOPS is an international, private, independent, non-political organisation enjoying UK charitable status. It is funded by foundations, governmental and intergovernmental institutions, companies and private individuals.
ACOPS works closely with a small team of internationally recognised experts who cover important topics such as policy development, fisheries management, corporate environmental management, oceanography, pollution research and control, biology, and managing impacts of tourism. They provide a solid basis to the multidisciplinary, trans-sectoral, cooperative approach encouraged by ACOPS.
The internal structure of ACOPS consists of a President, Chairman, Secretary, Trustees and Senior Advisors.
